MkAgent

MkAgent is an open-source, local-first AI agent workspace built on the Pi agent runtime, available as an Electron desktop app, WebUI, and CLI. It is intended for anyone who wants more control over their AI work and for builders who want to fork a working agent product into their own branded desktop application. The three clients share one authenticated WebSocket RPC protocol, session history, Skills, permissions, and local files, so a session can be resumed across surfaces.

• Point it at a real working directory; sessions, Skills, permissions, and views stay scoped to that workspace.
• Connect models through Pi using ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro/Max subscriptions, provider API keys, compatible endpoints, or local Ollama models.
• Sessions stream thinking, tool calls, diffs, plans, and artifacts; workspaces, sessions, and Skills live locally.
